Property agent Veroy Chua was left stunned after discovering that a condo unit he had rented out in Geylang had become the subject of a police warning over alleged vice-related activities. Speaking to AsiaOne on Wednesday (July 22), Chua said he had no red flags from the tenant, who paid rent on time and seemed normal.
The police warning, issued earlier this month, indicated that the unit was allegedly used for vice activities. Chua, who manages the property, said he was unaware of any issues until contacted by authorities. He noted that the tenant had a clean record and no complaints from neighbors.
Chua emphasized that he conducts background checks on tenants but admitted that such activities can be hard to detect. He urged other agents to be vigilant and report suspicious behavior to authorities promptly.
