Nigerian carrier Air Peace has announced the launch of direct flights between Lagos, Nigeria, and Libreville, Gabon, starting August 2, 2026. The new route aims to strengthen regional connectivity and facilitate trade and travel between the two West African nations.
According to the airline's official statement, flights will operate multiple times per week using Boeing 737 aircraft. The service is expected to reduce travel time and provide more affordable options for passengers compared to current connecting flights.
Air Peace, Nigeria's largest airline by fleet size, continues to expand its West and Central African network. The Lagos-Libreville route adds to existing destinations including Accra, Abidjan, and Douala.
Gabon's capital Libreville serves as a key economic hub for Central Africa, particularly in the oil and mining sectors. The new direct connection is anticipated to boost business and tourism between Nigeria and Gabon.
