Israeli carrier Arkia announced plans to expand its Tel Aviv-New York (JFK) route with the addition of Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A330 aircraft, aiming to boost summer capacity. The airline will introduce an Airbus A330 featuring 46 business-class seats, with an Israeli crew present on every flight.
The move comes as Arkia seeks to compete with larger carriers on the popular transatlantic route. The Dreamliner, known for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, will complement the A330 operations.
Arkia has not yet specified the exact start dates for the new flights or the frequency of the Dreamliner services. The airline currently operates flights to New York using other aircraft types.
