As the 2026 high school football season approaches, Berea-Midpark High School is setting its sights on a breakthrough year in the Southwestern Conference (SWC) and Division I, Region 1. The Titans, who have shown steady improvement under head coach Ray Haseley, are looking to challenge for the conference title and make a deep playoff run.
Berea-Midpark finished the 2025 season with a 7-4 record, earning a spot in the Division I, Region 1 playoffs before falling in the first round. The team returns several key starters, including senior quarterback Jake Kuchta, who threw for over 2,000 yards last season, and senior linebacker Max Kidd, who led the defense in tackles.
The Titans will face stiff competition in the SWC, with rivals like Avon Lake and Olmsted Falls also expected to contend. However, Berea-Midpark's strong senior class and experienced coaching staff give them a legitimate chance to 'break the glass' and win their first SWC title since joining the conference in 2015.
Head coach Ray Haseley emphasized the team's focus on improvement and consistency. 'We have the pieces in place, but we need to execute every Friday night,' Haseley said. 'Our goal is to be playing our best football in November.'
The Titans open their 2026 season at home against North Royalton on August 28, with conference play beginning in September. Fans and analysts alike will be watching to see if Berea-Midpark can finally break through in a competitive region.
