Universal Pictures has tapped Oscar-winning director Daniel Roher and the production company Lord Miller to adapt Forrest Brazeal's novel Paradox Inc. for the big screen, according to multiple industry reports.
Roher, who won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for Navalny in 2023, will direct the adaptation. Lord Miller, the production company founded by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will produce. The project marks Roher's first major studio fiction feature.
The novel, published in 2024, is a science-fiction thriller that explores the ethical and practical implications of a company that offers time travel as a service. The book has been praised for its blend of corporate satire and hard sci-fi concepts.
As of August 20, 2026, no casting or release date has been announced. The project is in early development at Universal.
