Remco Evenepoel won the 16th stage of the Tour de France, a 26.1 km individual time trial in Thonon-les-Bains, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The Belgian rider beat yellow jersey holder Tadej Pogacar to take his second stage win of the race.
Evenepoel completed the course in 31 minutes and 23 seconds, averaging 49.9 km/h. Pogacar finished 12 seconds behind, while defending champion Jonas Vingegaard placed third, 28 seconds down.
Swiss rider Yannis Voisard finished 23rd in the stage, 1 minute and 45 seconds behind Evenepoel. This result moved Voisard up to 10th place in the general classification, 12 minutes and 34 seconds behind Pogacar.
Pogacar retained the yellow jersey with a lead of 1 minute and 8 seconds over Vingegaard. Evenepoel sits third overall, 2 minutes and 15 seconds behind the leader.
