Morocco is seeking to deepen its economic relations with Indonesia while opening new channels of cooperation with Southeast Asian countries. During a visit to Jakarta, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Omar Hejira led a delegation to explore trade and investment opportunities.
The visit focused on strengthening bilateral trade, which has seen growth in recent years. Discussions included potential partnerships in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, and manufacturing.
Hejira met with Indonesian officials to discuss ways to increase trade volume and facilitate business exchanges. The talks also covered the possibility of a preferential trade agreement to boost economic ties.
This initiative is part of Morocco's broader strategy to expand its economic footprint in Asia, particularly in the fast-growing Southeast Asian market.
