Marks & Spencer (M&S) is set to make its debut at London Fashion Week in September 2026, joining luxury designers on the official schedule. The British retailer will present its autumn/winter 2026 womenswear collection, marking a strategic move to reposition its fashion credentials.
According to the British Fashion Council (BFC), M&S will showcase on the opening day of the event, which runs from September 18 to 22, 2026. The collection will be designed by M&S's in-house team, led by creative director Maddy Evans, and will focus on 'modern classics' with sustainable materials.
This marks a significant shift for the 142-year-old retailer, traditionally known for affordable basics. M&S has been investing in higher-quality fabrics and trend-led designs under its 'Never the Same' campaign. The BFC CEO Caroline Rush said the inclusion reflects 'the evolving landscape of British fashion.'
M&S joins established names like Burberry, Alexander McQueen, and Erdem on the schedule. The move is seen as an attempt to attract younger shoppers and compete with fast-fashion rivals. Tickets for the show will be available to the public via a ballot system.
