Takahashi, who has been involved in the series since the original game's release in 2018, noted that the team has taken note of the fans' wishes and hopes. He urged players to "keep an eye out for the next project," suggesting that development may already be underway.
The Octopath Traveler series is known for its unique HD-2D art style, which combines pixel art with 3D effects. The first game was released for Nintendo Switch and later for PC, while the sequel, Octopath Traveler II, launched in 2023 for multiple platforms.
