Volvo Cars India has announced that it will launch the EX90 electric SUV and the ES90 electric sedan in the Indian market on October 12, 2026. The company confirmed the date in a press release, stating that both models will be introduced together.
The EX90 is Volvo's flagship electric SUV, featuring a 111 kWh battery and a range of up to 600 km (WLTP). The ES90 is a new electric fastback sedan, also built on the same platform, with similar battery and range specifications. Both models are part of Volvo's strategy to go fully electric by 2030.
In India, the EX90 and ES90 will be imported as completely built units (CBUs), which may affect their pricing. Volvo has not yet announced official prices, but industry analysts expect them to be positioned in the luxury segment, competing with models like the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
The launch is part of Volvo's broader expansion in India, where the company aims to strengthen its electric vehicle lineup. The EX90 and ES90 will be available with advanced safety features, including lidar technology and driver assistance systems.
