The team was greeted by fans and officials at Rabat-SalΓ© Airport after their journey from the United States, where the tournament was co-hosted.
Morocco advanced to the round of 16 for the second consecutive World Cup, after a historic semifinal run in 2022. In the 2026 tournament, they finished second in Group H with four points, recording a win against South Korea and draws with Portugal and Uruguay. They were eliminated in the round of 16 by Brazil, losing 2-0.
Upon arrival, head coach Walid Regragui praised the team's effort and the support of Moroccan fans worldwide. 'We gave our best and made the nation proud,' he said in a brief statement at the airport. The team is now set to take a break before preparing for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
