Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information in the investigation into the murder of 27-year-old Antoinette Smith, whose remains were discovered on Glendoo Mountain, near the Lemass monument and close to Glencree/Enniskerry in County Wicklow. The discovery was made on 11 July 1998, exactly 28 years ago today.

Antoinette Smith, a mother of two from Dublin, was last seen alive on 2 July 1998. Her remains were found nine days later. The cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation due to strangulation. Despite extensive investigations, no one has been charged in connection with her murder.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information, no matter how small, to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the Glendoo Mountain area around the time of the discovery or who may have information about Antoinette's movements in the days before her death.
