KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against most major currencies but eased slightly against the US dollar on Friday as investors turned cautious amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, an economist said.
At 8 am, the local note stood at 4.1850/4.1900 against the US dollar, slightly weaker from Thursday's close of 4.1800/4.1850, according to Bank Negara Malaysia's reference rate.
